Job Title: AWS Application Security Engineer

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled AWS Application Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our AWS Security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough security reviews of applications and services to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Design and implement secure architecture for cloud-based applications and services.
  • Develop and maintain threat models to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into the development lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to ensure Amazon's cloud-based applications and services remain secure.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java,.Net, C++ or similar object-oriented language experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, and network security.
  • Experience with AWS products and services.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++.

Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $137,800/year to $230,100/year, depending on experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, applicants may also be eligible for equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package.
