We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our wind facilities across North America. This is a phenomenal opportunity for experienced professionals.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will provide electrical engineering and Balance of Plant (BoP) support to various Bulk Electric System (BES) wind facilities across North America.

Your expertise and experience would be invaluable in ensuring accurate and thorough engineering support for power operations, reliability compliance, and contributing to the overall safety and reliability of our BES solar facilities.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will act as the primary SME to resolve operational and reliability issues in turbines and BoP systems, leading root cause analysis and troubleshooting.

You will collaborate with Engineering team members and Plant Managers to ensure adequate Balance of Plant (BoP) maintenance activities.

In addition, you will work with various turbine vendors to enhance, improve, or modify aggregate or turbine-specific voltage and frequency controls.

You will also coordinate and collaborate with external stakeholders, Enbridge's Control Center, and consultants to manage changes to existing SCADA systems.

This role requires strong electrical background to perform necessary engineering maintenance and field troubleshooting activities.

A motivated self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and communicate across teams is essential for this position.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant work experience as an Electrical Engineer or Specialist supporting BoP activities
  • Familiarity with applying CSA/IEEE/ANSI Standards for medium & high voltage equipment and NETA standards for testing related activities
