Job Title: Information Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Specialist to join our team at 8463859 Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our users, as well as participating in the redesign of applications and other software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and assistance to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems and software
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
  • Supervise other technical support workers in this group
  • Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification
  • JavaOS experience
  • Security software knowledge
  • Project management software experience
  • Website creation and management software skills
  • Web service design expertise
  • Database software knowledge
  • Software development experience
  • C++ programming skills
  • Oracle experience
