About the Role

We are seeking a Privacy Analyst to support the ongoing operations of our Privacy Office and provide guidance to the business on the proper management of personal information.

This role will involve supporting day-to-day department operations by responding to questions, compiling reports, and managing technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Privacy Office is perceived as a valued partner by collaborating with business areas to deliver solutions that drive value and privacy risk mitigation.
  • Support the handling of inquiries, requests and complaints through the Privacy Office channels.
  • Establish and maintain tracking of proposed changes to policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Oversee data collection for all Privacy Office reporting purposes to ensure data is accurate and complete.
  • Maintain the Privacy Office intranet site to ensure available information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Provide guidance and advice to the business on privacy-related questions or concerns.
  • Assist with the development of communications to increase privacy awareness.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in Privacy or Compliance, ideally in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Completed post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional privacy designation (CIPP/CIPM) or willingness to obtain.
  • Good understanding of private-sector privacy regulations and obligations, program requirements and controls.
