ROLE: Senior Accountant & Team Lead

Rock Solid Supply is a manufacturer and distributor of bathroom vanities and accessories to retailers across Canada.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in accounting and be familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

About the Role:

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead all accounting/finance team members and functions (AR, AP, Payroll/Benefits)
  • Ensure all standard accounting processes and policies are completed by the team in a timely manner
  • Manage daily and weekly cash flow reporting
  • Daily Cash Management support, including foreign currency transactions/conversions/hedging
  • Manage expenses, review expense statements, and oversee local purchasing and consumables
  • Develop, report, and monitor key performance metrics
  • Review and approve bi-weekly payroll & benefits administration for all locations
  • Manage insurance coverage and policy coordination
  • Ensure regulatory reporting is completed in a timely manner and compliance with all relevant accounting standards, provincial and federal legislation, regulations, and guidelines
  • Preserve accurate records, contracts and other documents, while maintaining confidentiality of organizational information
  • Support the development and implementation of business controls

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced computer literacy using Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (Syspro or SAP) and ad hoc reporting tools
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, with experience in Lean methodology or Six Sigma training considered an asset
  • CPA is an asset but not required
