Job Overview

S.i. Systèmes is seeking a skilled Data Pipeline Architect to join our team in designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines using cloud architecture and design principles.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Compass and Safety Check web-tools' legacy data landscape and reporting solutions, evaluating impacts due to the Compass Cloud Migration initiative.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with the broader Compass cloud migration project team, monitor and administer automated and manual data integration, ETL, and reporting jobs, ensuring alignment with requirements.

We are looking for someone who can provide technical assistance, advice, and guidance to client IT staff and business clients regarding the functionality of ETL tools, data in warehouse, and related data marts.

Requirements

  • University degree in applied sciences such as Computer Science, Systems Design, Engineering, Business, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in cloud architecture and design principles for web services within Azure Cloud and Oracle physical/hosted servers.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data platforms, including Microsoft and Oracle frameworks.
  • Proficient in using platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Spark, as well as Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Synapse Analytics and Oracle Database @Azure.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing ETL data pipelines with data technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and IBM InfoSphere/ IBM Cloud Pak DataStage.
  • Excellent knowledge of RDBMS and SQL, specifically with Oracle and SQL Server relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles and techniques based on established methodologies, including semantic models and business views.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the Insurance industry including the Accord reference model.
  • Expert knowledge of data patterns to support design concepts/processes including ETL/ELT, Data Mesh, date lake, data lakehouse, data warehouse, data streaming, data virtualization, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance framework principles and vendor platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Cloud Pak for Data, MS Purview).
  • Proficient in SQL with demonstrated ability to apply SQL to a wide variety of business requirements.

S.i. Systèmes offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
