Job Summary

Medecins Sans Frontieres is seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical supply chain, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, appropriateness, and smooth coordination of medical supply lines, including storage, distribution, and ordering of drugs and medical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy, including inventory management, ordering, and distribution of medications and medical supplies.
  • Collaborate with locally and internationally hired MSF colleagues to ensure good pharmaceutical practices and adherence to national rules.
  • Analyze consumption and medical data to advise on local purchases, drug disposal, and medical donations.
  • Supervise colleagues dealing with the daily management of drugs and medical equipment.

Requirements

  • Full and current registration as a pharmacist.
  • Minimum two years relevant post-qualification work experience.
  • Experience in supply management organization of stocks.
  • Experience in managing staff in a multicultural team (supervision and training).
  • Excellent command of English and French (level B2).
  • Relevant travel or work experience in contexts similar to where MSF works (armed conflicts, disasters, public health emergencies or situations of healthcare exclusion).
  • Available to work six to 12 months.

Assets

  • Relevant experience in hospital settings or remote locations.
  • Knowledge of other language (Arabic, Spanish).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (especially Excel).
