At ANDRITZ, we are at the forefront of innovative technologies that shape the future of industries worldwide. Our Automation & Digitalization division is seeking an experienced Electrical and Controls Team Lead to lead a team of professionals in Kelowna, BC.

This key position requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, and technical expertise in electrical and controls engineering. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering and a minimum of 10 years' experience in industrial automation engineering, preferably in consulting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for project management, technical guidance, and coordination of a team of engineers and stakeholders. They will also oversee project coordination, consult with customers, and lead large capital project development.

We offer a competitive salary range of $137,500 - $162,500 per year, commensurate with experience, based on a 40 hour work week. Additional benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, hybrid work environment, and a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP). Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management, leadership, and technical guidance to a team of engineers and project stakeholders;
  • Assign, coordinate, and review the technical work of project teams;
  • Oversee project coordination to ensure accurate billing, time accounting, and financial reporting;
  • Consult and negotiate with customers to prepare specifications, explain proposals, and present engineering reports;
  • Lead large capital project development, including feasibility studies, project scope definitions, preliminary engineering designs, and capital cost estimates;
  • Assist with the assessment, evaluation, establishment, and development of opportunities in the assigned industry(ies)/business areas;
  • Support the growth of the business by assisting with the execution of sales growth strategies;
  • Build, lead and develop a team of professionals; including recruitment and selection, training, and performance management;
  • Network with industry groups and professional organizations to establish the presence and reputation of the Company;
  • Ensure that the activities adhere to the quality standards established by the Company;
