We are seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist to join our team at Family Services of Greater Vancouver. As a key member of our youth services department, you will be responsible for working with young people aged 12-24 in various settings.

About the Job

This is a casual part-time position, with varying hours of work per week (up to 40 hours). The successful candidate must be available to work on an irregular schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

The Youth Engagement Specialist will:

  • Work with young people in individual and group settings to provide support and guidance
  • Develop and implement programs and activities that promote positive youth development
  • Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a college diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • Have at least one year of experience working with youth in a similar capacity
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly
