Master Woodworker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Master Woodworker to join our team at BC LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing wood structures.

About the Role:

• Carpenters perform manual labor tasks as they construct buildings, homes, and other structures using wood or other materials.
• The role involves working with blueprints and architectural plans to determine work requirements and layout designs.
• Carpenters use various tools, including measuring tools, hand saws, chisels, sandpaper, and power equipment, to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
• The task involves supervising other workers on site and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and safely.
• A strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute woodworking projects from start to finish.
• Select and purchase necessary materials and tools.
• Work with clients to determine project specifications and needs.
• Analyze technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress and materials used.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in carpentry or related field.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in carpentry or a related field.
• Industry certifications, such as OSHA certification.
• Experience with CAD software and computer-aided design.

Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year based on experience.
