About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at H & J Cleaning Corp. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cleaning services, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of our cleaning staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that our clients' facilities are clean, safe, and meet our high standards.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning services, ensuring that we are providing value to our clients.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify opportunities to provide additional services to our clients, such as painting, repair work, or renovations.
  • Maintain Financial Records: Ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date, including invoices, payments, and expenses.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to our cleaning staff, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and equipment to perform their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate Work Activities: Work closely with other departments to ensure that our cleaning services are integrated with other business operations.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and manage work schedules for our cleaning staff, ensuring that they are able to meet the needs of our clients.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the cleaning industry.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Cleaning service company.
  • Tasks: Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff, supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards, prepare budget and cost estimates, recommend or arrange for additional services required, maintain financial records, receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs, assist cleaners in performing duties, co-ordinate work activities with other departments, establish work schedules.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people, light duty cleaners, specialized cleaners.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, reliability.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
