Security Officer Job Description

At Paladin Security, we're committed to making the world a safer and friendlier place. We're seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at various sites throughout the Lower Mainland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular foot patrols and monitor CCTV cameras to ensure the safety and security of our facilities.
  • Provide first aid and manage lost and found items as needed.
  • Write detailed incident reports and respond to alarms and emergency requests.
  • Utilize de-escalation skills to ensure the safety of our healthcare workers and visitors in hospitals and health clinics.
  • Respond to alarms and security breaches, and provide leadership in emergency situations.
  • Conduct regular patrols of government buildings, shopping centers, and other sites, and monitor property entrance and exits.
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A passion for being active and standing for long periods of time.
  • Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift.
  • Confidence interacting verbally with team members, client personnel, and emergency services.
  • Some experience in security or customer service is an asset.
What We Offer:

Competitive pay rate starting at $18/hour - $22/hour, depending on the site or program. Many of our sites are accessible by transit, but having your own vehicle and a Class 5 BC Driver's License is an asset.
