Job Description:

The Registered Nurse - Cardiology Intensive Care Unit will provide critical care services to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Related experience in a critical care setting
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills

This role requires constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching, and sustained posture within a fast-paced unit requiring lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects greater than 30 lbs. Recent experience, skill, and knowledge in advanced dysrhythmia and 12-lead ECG interpretations, hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and intra-aortic balloon pump are preferred qualifications.
