Job Description for Cashier at Harvard Variety Store

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Harvard Variety Store. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and cash wrap area
  • Restock shelves and maintain inventory levels
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity and sales targets
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail environment
  • Permanent employment
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
Work Environment:

Our store is located in a busy retail area, with public transportation available. As a Cashier, you will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers and colleagues throughout the day.
