Job Overview



As a Media Planner at Spark, you will be a key player in developing and executing performance-driven media strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. This role requires a unique blend of analytical skills, mathematical proficiency, and the ability to tie platform reporting to consumer actions and behavior.

Responsibilities





  • Gather and analyze market, client, industry, competitive, and human insight data to determine advertising and media needs

  • Develop a solid understanding of marketing objectives and strategies, the human-product relationship, and human-media relationship

  • Analyze media alternatives and make multi-media recommendations to allocate budgets effectively across media

  • Maintain campaign quality control and adherence to overall media plan objectives, preparing campaign performance documents

  • Utilize syndicated media, research, and other data resources

  • Clearly communicate media objectives, strategies, and executional guidelines to internal and external teams

  • Present plans to the client brand group, assisted by a Supervisor/Manager

  • Maintain strong relationships with media suppliers and stay abreast of market conditions

  • Work closely with external agency partners

  • Active participation in account status meetings, internal and external

  • Develop and assist in the development of POVs

  • Active participant in the overall billing and financial process



Requirements





  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications

  • 1-3 years of media experience

  • Experience in acquisition campaigns from start to finish

  • Independently planning a campaign

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating

  • Ability to work successfully within a team, handling high volume workloads and meeting tight deadlines

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in math

  • Ability to effectively utilize media research and reporting resources

  • Technical proficiency in media systems, PRISMA, and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
