Quality Assurance Inspector

Westlake: Enhancing Lives through Quality
We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at the Westlake facility. As a key member of our quality control team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our PVC pipe production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-coming materials inspection to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Support manufacturing processes to maintain efficiency and productivity
- Conduct first article inspection and record results to ensure quality control
- Perform in-process inspection and record results to identify and address any quality issues
- Conduct final inspection and record results to ensure quality meets standards
- Create and maintain inspection sheets to track quality control
- Maintain product traceability sheets to ensure accountability
- Perform re-inspection on reworked and repaired items to ensure quality
- Complete all testing at required frequencies to ensure quality control
- Perform calibration and maintain records of measuring and testing equipment
- Control non-conforming material for receiving, in-process, and final inspection
- Support the team in disposition of non-conforming material
- Release 'on hold' products for shipments/recycling
- Coordinate QC procedures to ensure quality control
- Control production drawings to ensure accuracy
- Create monthly QC summary reports to track quality control
Requirements:
- Previous experience in quality control is an asset
- Experience with MS Office, Excel, and Word is required
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms
