Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Mini Retreat Childcare Inc. as a Program Development Specialist.

This is a permanent full-time position, requiring 30-40 hours of work per week. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

You will lead activities, provide guidance and support to children, and maintain records of their progress. Your role also involves establishing guidelines for behavior, attending staff meetings, and collaborating with colleagues to create a safe and welcoming environment for all children.

• Develop and implement child-care programs aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices
• Lead engaging activities, including storytelling, songs, and outings, to promote learning and development
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and report to parents/guardians or supervisors as needed
• Assist in creating a healthy and inclusive environment by promoting positive behaviors and addressing potential issues
• Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
• Current certifications in Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR, as well as Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Training
• Membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain confidentiality when necessary
