Food Preparation and Service Team Member

Coasters Lounge is seeking a skilled Food Preparation and Service Team Member to join our kitchen team. This is a permanent position with a salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the RoleWe are looking for an individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, plan menus, estimate food requirements, and prepare complete meals or individual dishes and foods. The ideal candidate will also have experience in requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, training staff, maintaining inventory, and cleaning kitchen and work areas.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning: Plan menus that meet the needs of our customers and ensure we have the necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Food Preparation: Prepare complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including all equipment and utensils, and ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.
- Staff Training: Train new staff members on food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
- Inventories and Supplies: Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
