Compensation:

The annual salary for this role is estimated at approximately $49,500 - $58,000 CAD based on the location (Sudbury, Ontario) and the job description, which includes a competitive benefits package, strong benefit and pension plans, paid vacation and holidays, overtime opportunities, and a growth path to line leader and supervisory roles.

About the Role:

">

We are seeking an experienced Millwright Apprentice to join our maintenance team as an Industrial Maintenance Specialist. As a member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all equipment used in the plant, primarily through daily support of Emergency, Corrective, Preventive, and Predictive Maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Verify that machine guarding is in place, interlocks are in working condition, and apply proper lockout/tagout procedures to equipment during repair.">
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions/near misses and accidents in a timely manner.">
  • Complete Preventative, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance routines according to the Master PM schedule.">
  • Work closely with production to identify and correct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems to ensure equipment operates properly, safely, and efficiently.">
  • Contact equipment suppliers as needed for information on equipment operation, maintenance, or parts required.">
  • Apply a methodical approach to problem-solving/diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues.">
  • Identify and coordinate improvements to address downtime or efficiency issues.">
  • Develop written recommendations for Preventative and Predictive Maintenance routines.">

  • Problem-solving skills and good communication skills are required.">
  • Strong people skills – approachable, a good listener, and empathetic.">
  • Previously worked in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing.">
  • Dedicated to the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues.">
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs as needed.">
