About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Supervisor to join our team at PL Constructions & Excavations. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities on our construction sites.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors, laborers, and other project personnel to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Safety Management: Implement and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations, and conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Estimate costs, prepare bids, and monitor expenses to ensure budgetary targets are met.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate reports on project progress, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a construction supervisor or in a related field.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety protocols and best practices.
  • Certifications and licenses relevant to the construction industry (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS).
