About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Swimming Pool Installation Helper to join our team at Pro West Pools & Construction (2014) Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the construction site by moving tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Surveying Support: Hold stakes during surveying activities to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Team Support: Provide assistance to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed by supervisors.
  • Cleanliness: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Work Environment

This is an outdoor position that requires working in dusty and wet/damp conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Newcomer Support: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
  • Settlement Support: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Social and Labour Market Integration: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees through language training, skills training, and access to community resources.
  • Refugee Support: Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster and provide support with foreign credential recognition.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
