We seek a seasonal, full-time Bridge Construction Laborer to join our team in Northern Alberta's Bridge Maintenance Division. The 10-days-on, 4-days-off shift rotation will be based between Wabasca and Slave Lake area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to work safely and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Perform assigned labor tasks (confined space, hot work, heights...) as required.
  • Capable of performing physical labor without health or physical concerns.
  • Demonstrate mathematical skills for accurate measurement and job site construction planning.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination for operating machinery.
  • Knowledge of heavy machinery of all sizes and kinds.
  • Inspect machinery for proper working condition before each shift.
  • Carry out excavation or specific digs needed for projects.
  • Proficient in reading maps and diagrams of buried pipelines and utilities.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with crew members, managers, and clients.
  • Ensure safe use of heavy machinery.
  • Work in a team environment to meet project timelines.
  • Determination in completing jobs precisely without oversights.
  • Perform outdoor construction site work.
  • Implement environmental work practices and address concerns.
