About the Role

The Service Writer position at Midas is a key role in enhancing the retail sales and profitability of our stores. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling automotive repair service transactions and responding to related customer service issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and present estimates to customers, source parts, and sell jobs to customers.
  • Interpret inspection results with the Technician and present results to customers.
  • Oversee the processes of work order preparation and scheduling.
  • Respond to customer service concerns and problems.
  • Act in a store management capacity as needed on day-to-day operational activities.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of Human Resources and quality of service through providing training to service providers.
  • Monitor and control facility and asset utilization.
  • Enforce compliance with environmental and safety regulations and statutes.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of related experience in the automotive service business is preferred.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
  • Supervisory and management skills.
  • Service diagnosis and technical skills are an asset.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
