About Street Haven At The Crossroads

Street Haven At The Crossroads is a dynamic women's multi-service agency that provides shelter, supportive housing, training supports, and addictions therapy to vulnerable women in Toronto.

This role will work cross functionally across the organization to maintain relationships with management, union representatives, and legal counsel. The Role

  • Oversee the consistent application and administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), ensuring alignment with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Act as the primary advisor for management on the interpretation and implementation of CBA terms.
  • Update policies and procedures to reflect legislative changes affecting the CBA.
  • Act as project coordinator to support the Executive Director in negotiations, ensuring outcomes align with organizational goals while fostering positive union relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report on labour relations trends, grievance outcomes, and workforce metrics to support strategic planning.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Collaborate with HR teams on projects and initiatives related to employee engagement, training, and labour relations.
  • Provide training for managers on labour relations practices, compliance, and conflict resolution.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies that align with organizational values and the CBA.
  • Assist with administration and implementation of the collective agreement, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience in the non-profit/charitable, or social services sectors.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant provincial and federal labour relations and employment legislation.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Internet applications.

Salary & Benefits

We are offering a competitive salary of $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time role that is in-person only and operates under standard business hours (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with some evening or weekend requirements.
