About the Role:

The Central Office - Student Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistive Technology Support Worker to join our team. As an Assistive Technology Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students with disabilities and those experiencing barriers to learning have access to the tools and resources they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist school teams in implementing accessible education materials and assistive technology to support student learning.
  • Work collaboratively with educational professionals to deliver services to students within the Inclusive Education Policy and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
  • Support the appropriate use of student equipment, technology, and applications (hardware and software).
  • Teach students how to maximize assistive technology for increased well-being and achievement.

Qualifications:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Disability Supports and Services or acceptable equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competency using voice to text and text to voice programs such as Google Read and Write and Google suite of applications.
  • Valid Drivers License and daily access to a vehicle.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and demonstrated aptitude in Assistive Technology and software used in schools for students.
  • Experience working in school settings with children and youth.
