Medical Director, Obstetrics and Gynecology

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our team at Prairie Mountain Health. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position working 30-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry, and experience in obstetrics and gynecology is an asset.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat diseases and disorders related to obstetrics and gynecology
- Prescribe post-operative medication and treatment
- Supervise surgical procedures and ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Treat injuries and deformities, and provide expert advice to other physicians
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as needed
You will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, requiring strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You must be able to stand for extended periods and walk, as well as engage in bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements- Specialty residency training in obstetrics and gynecology
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
- Accurate and efficient in your work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Judgement and reliability are essential
- You must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
The estimated salary for this role is $200,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate is based on industry standards and takes into account the location and required qualifications.
