Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our global membrane system engineering team at Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering efforts for our membrane systems, ensuring high standards of design and functionality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sustaining engineering efforts related to electrical, instrumentation, and PLC program work.
  • Collaborate with production, product managers, commercial engineers, and project engineering teams to support the development of new and existing membrane-based systems.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting customer and manufacturing issues related to all membrane systems.
  • Engage with suppliers and third-party vendors to optimize system components and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support localization and technology transfer to other regions, aligning with Global Products Platform engineering team objectives and process development.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree or higher in an engineering or science-related field.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD software to develop or adjust electrical drawings.
  • Programming expertise with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Schneider platforms.
  • Familiarity with the configurable membrane systems portfolio at Veolia WTS, either through engineering, commissioning, manufacturing, product management, or process teams.
  • Industrial product design experience in water treatment involving membrane separation processes (RO, UF, ED/EDI/EDR).
  • Understanding of engineering standards for documentation, review processes, and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Strong self-motivation, quick delivery, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated dedication to safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in English writing and speaking.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in related fields.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with business management software, such as SAP, and engineering change processes.
  • Programming and computer model development skills using Excel, Google Sheets, and other tools.
Location and Travel Requirements:

This position is based in Guelph, ON, CA or Minnetonka, MN, USA, with approximately 10-20% travel required. We offer competitive compensation packages, including salaries ranging from $120,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
