We are seeking a motivated Perioperative Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Fort St. John Hospital.

Job Description

The Perioperative Nurse will work closely with the care team in direct care activities such as assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating interventions, and coordinating health services for patients in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will have a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care and be able to recognize potential complications and care issues relevant to the designated patient group by alerting the RN and/or most responsible provider.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses and one (1) year recent experience working in a related area of care.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform nursing assessments and interventions related to common diagnosis and specific clinical situations relevant to the designated patient group.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound clinical judgements to provide safe ethical patient care to manage a select population of patients.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $65,000-$85,000 CAD based on experience and qualifications. This estimate includes cost-of-living adjustments and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
