We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Laundry Aide at Extendicare Canada Inc.
Compensation:The estimated annual salary for this role is $31,200 - $43,200, based on an hourly wage of $15-$20 per hour.
About the RoleThis is a dynamic opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and possesses excellent communication skills. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Sorting and processing laundry items according to type, condition, and weight;
- Operating washing machines and dryers safely and efficiently;
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to established safety practices and procedures;
- Assisting with inventory management and reporting any discrepancies or concerns to the supervisor;
- Providing exceptional customer service to residents, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods;
- Basic knowledge of washer and dryer operations, including chemical handling and safety protocols;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
