Role Overview

We are seeking dedicated Child and Youth Care Workers to join our team in Lac La Biche. As a Child and Youth Care Worker, you will provide direct care and support to vulnerable youth in a trauma-informed environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to youth in a trauma-informed environment
  • Assess and identify the specific needs of youth and develop approved plans to meet those needs
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a safe and secure environment for youth
  • Provide input to the multi-disciplinary team based on observations and direct interaction with youth
  • Ensure a safe and secure trauma-informed environment consistent with the centre philosophy and policies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience working with vulnerable youth in a trauma-informed environment
  • Strong assessment and planning skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for youth
