Housekeeper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Travellers Motel. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Housekeeping: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, pick up debris, and empty trash containers.
  • Support Services: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Requirements: No degree, certificate, or diploma required. Experience an asset. Permanent position, 40 hours per week, English language.
