Hospitality and Food Service Attendant

In this role as a Hospitality and Food Service Attendant with Ontario Inc., you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and experience a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen items, including dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to ensure a clean and inviting dining area.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas after they have been cleaned.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure that our customers have everything they need.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand when necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of the quantities of food used to help us manage inventory and make informed decisions about ordering supplies.
  • Package take-out food and prepare it for delivery or pickup.
  • Portion and wrap foods according to our menu specifications.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, taking their orders and providing excellent customer service.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to ensure that our customers have access to fresh and healthy options.
  • Take customers' orders and input them into our system accurately and efficiently.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize the entire kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and responsibly.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to keep our facility looking its best.
Work Environment

As a Hospitality and Food Service Attendant with Ontario Inc., you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will be standing for extended periods, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.
