Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled Crisis Counselor to support the well-being of individuals in crisis.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires the ability to work with diverse populations and provide empathetic support during critical moments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis counseling services to individuals in need, utilizing evidence-based techniques and best practices to ensure effective outcomes;
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each client;
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify underlying issues and create tailored interventions to promote healing and growth;
Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in crisis counseling or one (1) year of experience with an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English (French is an asset);
  • Ability to communicate in Cree, Inuktitut, Ojibway, or any other indigenous language (asset);
