We are seeking a skilled Benefits Consultant to join our team at Gallagher. As a member of our Benefits and HR consulting team, you will help our clients, employers of all sizes, across all industries, build workplaces that work better.

As a Benefits Consultant, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by building and maintaining valuable relationships with prospects and clients. This involves consulting with clients in the area of employee benefits, helping them manage risk, cost, and facilitate an equitable and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and acquire new business revenue through sales to new and existing clients with emphasis on small to mid-size companies with high revenue
  • Participate in team sales situations with other producers and support personnel
  • Develop a pipeline of business opportunities that are an appropriate mix of new clients and account expansion
  • Introduce Gallagher's full-service offering to broaden the scope and impact of client relationships
  • Assist, educate, and mentor other staff members in new client sales situations and existing client service requirements
  • Convey deep technical expertise and business insight in helping clients evaluate opportunities to reduce cost, risk, and improve the overall competitiveness of benefits, retirement, and HR services
  • Constantly stay ahead of industry, market, and legislative trends that impact health & welfare plan design, delivery, and compliance
  • Reciprocally develop proposals that are fiscally sound, reflect an appropriate investment in the client, and demonstrate the overall capabilities of Gallagher
  • Establish and maintain inter division/intercompany relationships consistent with our workplace culture

About You:

  • Significant consultative B2B sales experience
  • Developed new business as well as maintained an existing customer base
  • Experience in the Benefits Administration and Consulting industry is ideal
  • Some of the desired work traits are: Acts independently with minimal direction, Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to work effectively in a team selling environment, Results Oriented, A real passion for building relationships and collaborating toward success, An effective communicator
