**Cloud Security and Platform Engineering Role**

Are you a skilled Java developer looking to engineer platforms that impact billions of lives around the world? At Intellibus, we're seeking an experienced professional to join our Platform Engineering Team.

Our team is working to solve the Multiplicity Problem and has been trusted by reputable FinTech firms. Recently, we've spearheaded the Conversion & Go Live of apps supporting the Financial Trading Industry.

We're looking for engineers with industry standards and protocols expertise, such as encryption (e.g., AES, RSA), Secure Socket Layer (SSL), and data privacy regulations knowledge (like PIPEDA in Canada).

Responsibilities:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), focusing on secure data storage, transmission, and compliance with industry best practices
  • Write applications in Java using Object Oriented Design Principles
  • Create Java Spring Boot REST Services
  • Use Java Streams API to work with real-time data
  • Create a Java Thread Executor Pool to read & write from a thread-safe queue
  • Use Java Lambdas for use in Collections
  • Create Distributed Cloud Configuration with Spring Cloud
  • Create Circuit Breakers with Spring Cloud
  • Create a Database Integration via Hibernate or Spring Data
  • Optimize business logic & SQL queries to enhance performance by 50%
  • Setup Kafka to support 10mm messages / hr throughput on 2KB payloads
  • Deploy a Kafka Multi-AZ Cluster on AWS
  • Build Services that are Highly Available (Multi-AZ & Multi-Region)
  • Build Algorithms to Optimize Execution times and reduce end-to-end latency
  • Use & Tweak Terraform Scripts to deploy Kubernetes Clusters with EKS
  • Navigate & debug Java Apps on a Linux EC2 Instance

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must have previous working in Security Industry Services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior developers and driving technical excellence within the team
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

We work closely with Java 8, REST-based Microservices, Hibernate ORM, Relational Databases, AWS, Kafka, and Linux / Unix. Our process includes scheduling a 15-minute video call, 4 proctored GQ tests (< 2 hours), and a 30-45 minute final video interview. We estimate the salary range for this role to be between $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
