Job Overview

The Marine Institute at Memorial University is seeking a highly experienced instructor to teach in the Diploma of Marine Engineering Technology program. This role requires a strong background in marine engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver course materials for the Diploma of Marine Engineering Technology program;
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback;
  • Work with industry partners to ensure the program meets their needs;
  • Advise students on work placement opportunities and career options;
  • Participate in curriculum development for current and new courses;
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a Transport Canada Certificate of Competency at the First-Class Engineer level, an undergraduate degree in a relevant area, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
