Executive Culinary Director

The Best Western Fernie Plus Mountain Lodge is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in culinary management and leadership.
Job DescriptionAs an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the hotel's food and beverage operations. This includes planning menus, supervising staff, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
- Plan menus to ensure food meets quality standards.
- Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Cook Trade Certification
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Permanent position with 40 hours per week
- English language required
