We are seeking an experienced Master Fabricator to join our team at SATURN TOOL & DIE (WINDSOR) INC. in Windsor, Ontario. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for creating precision machined parts using a variety of tools and equipment.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in tool and die making, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other team members to meet production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Instruct apprentices on best practices and safety protocols
- Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
- Realize machine castings to make metal molds, core boxes and precisely shaped models
- Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification
- Gauge blocks
- Metal cutting, forming or bending dies
- Compound or progressive transfer dies
- Handling heavy loads
- Manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Standing for extended periods
- Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
