Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Award-winning fast-food chain Subway is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of one of our locations.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

About the Role:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  • Develop and implement effective work schedules, considering staffing needs and customer demand.
  • Prepare and submit reports, providing valuable insights into sales trends and operational performance.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Train new staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies, promoting Subway's brand and products.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate; post-secondary education an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor in challenging situations.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and Point-of-Sale systems.
