  • About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter and Construction Professional to join our team at Friends Concrete Cutting Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Work Sites: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Construct and Repair: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Other Tasks: Prepare tenders and quotations, build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems, fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, schedule and co-ordinate work on sites, instruct apprentices, estimate costs and materials, maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
  • Work Setting: Construction, various locations, renovation, commercial, residential.
  • Level of Expertise: Maintenance and repair.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, excellent oral communication, reliability, team player.
