About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Leader to join our team as Assistant Commissioner, Tribunal and Dispute Resolution.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in privacy, access to information, public, and administrative law. They should also have at least 5 years of experience in a senior management position in a legal, regulatory, or adjudicative agency in the federal, provincial, or municipal public sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level strategic advice and support to the Commissioner on all matters under their areas of responsibility.
  • Lead the overall strategic direction and performance of the department centered around two key pillars: access and privacy.
  • Oversee the implementation of plans and operational strategies to deliver efficient, effective, timely, and high-quality services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A thorough understanding of Canadian access and privacy laws, policies, and legal processes.
  • A deep understanding of the professional, institutional, policy, and community context in which the Tribunal operates.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to positively influence and communicate with staff, peers, counterparts in other similar organizations, interested parties, and the public.
  • Highly effective leadership skills as a strategic and creative thinker, capable of inspiring others and fostering a collaborative and collegial environment.

What We Offer

LHH Knightsbridge offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
