Job OverviewThis position offers a competitive salary of approximately $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
As a Medical Administrative Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the patient schedule, responding to inquiries, and coordinating patient care with supporting departments and physician offices.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain efficient clinic operations
- Manage patient schedules, ensuring timely appointments and smooth workflow
- Respond to patient inquiries, addressing their concerns and providing exceptional customer service
- Coordinate patient care with supporting departments and physician offices
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Analyzing data and metrics to inform decision-making
- Providing input into departmental policy development and implementation
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Prior administrative experience, preferably in healthcare
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Empathy and understanding when interacting with patients and staff
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs), preferably EPIC, EPF, or ESP
- Previous experience as a Unit Secretary or in a similar role
