Investment Operations Role at CPP Investments

CPP Investments is a global investment organization that manages the funds of the Canada Pension Plan. We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Associate to join our team in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage investment operations functions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of trade tickets and accounting entries.
  • Partner with colleagues to structure, close, and fund transactions, identifying and resolving operational issues.
  • Assist in the timely completion and accuracy of reports and reconciliations relating to benchmarking, portfolio holdings, and P&L.
  • Contribute to the pricing and valuation validation process for principal credit, intellectual property, and structured product investments.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal investment staff and external asset managers.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Advanced degree or professional designation such as CFA or CAIA is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years direct experience in private/public credit operation.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and aptitude in learning new software.
