At Canada Inc., we are seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and calculating fixed assets and depreciation. Additionally, they will be required to keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong organizational skills. This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week, with a focus on providing excellent written communication and client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare trial balance of books
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Permanent position, 30 hours per week
