Senior Tax Manager, Corporate Planning Expert

At KPMG Canada, you'll be part of a team that turns insight into opportunity for clients and communities worldwide.

You will work closely with KPMG Partners on tax planning initiatives, directing junior staff, reviewing their work, and researching tax-planning strategies for clients. Your organizational skills will enable you to plan and organize teams for tax return preparation and conduct/present tax research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead client engagements
  • Work as a senior team member on tax planning work with a Partner
  • Plan and organize teams for tax return preparation and conducting/presenting tax research
  • Review junior staff's work for accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in the tax engagement team servicing clients' planning and compliance needs
  • Provide ongoing support and mentoring for staff development
  • Collaborate with other office members to attract new work

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years specializing in Tax in a public accounting firm
  • Professional Accounting Designation
  • Completed or working toward the CPA In-Depth Tax Course
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to understand clients' businesses
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities
