Pulcinella Ristorante Italiano seeks an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key member of the culinary staff, you will be responsible for overseeing daily food preparation, managing inventory, and supervising kitchen staff.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and organized individual who can estimate costs of supplies and food, analyze operating costs, and maintain accurate records of food consumption and sales. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and be able to train and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimate the cost of supplies and food items on a regular basis.
- Analyze operating costs and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are prepared efficiently.
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, including meals and specialty foods.
- Plan menus that meet quality standards and ensure food safety protocols are followed.
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
This is a permanent full-time position with a 30-hour workweek. You will work closely with our head chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless service during peak periods. A strong understanding of English is essential for effective communication with colleagues and management.
What We Offer:- A competitive salary of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
