Strategic Communications Director for Global Technology Brands

At Edelman, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Director to lead our Technology practice in Canada. This exciting opportunity will see you work on our largest global technology brands, driving strategic communications and helping them navigate the ever-evolving media and industry environments.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in developing and executing engaging communications programs for clients, including strategy and planning, creative, earned media, and influencer marketing. They will also be able to build strong relationships with clients, grow our technology business in Canada, and lead planning for key clients.

We're looking for someone with a deep understanding of the intersection of politics and business, who thrives on building relationships and navigating complex tech issues that impact society. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building a network of industry contacts, and participating in relevant professional organizations.

  • Develop and execute communications strategies for global technology brands.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and grow our technology business in Canada.
  • Lead planning for key clients and ensure quality, performance, deadline, and budget management.
  • Collaborate with integrated teams on concept and campaign development and execution.
  • Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities and building a network of industry contacts.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of related experience in communications, ideally with a focus on technology, public affairs, and gaming.
  • Strong experience in client service, including the ability to understand and assess a client's business and communication needs.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and executing engaging communications programs for clients.
  • Experience managing a team with best-in-class execution engrained in their DNA.
  • Proven ability to manage large projects, including budgets, and small teams simultaneously.
