We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Excellence Leader to join our team at Knoll Inc. in Toronto, ON.

Job Description

The Operational Excellence Leader will be responsible for leading the overall results of our multi-shift manufacturing operation. This includes establishing and achieving operational objectives in areas such as safety, quality, reliability, cost, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and talent management.

You will ensure alignment with operations and corporate business strategy and goals while promoting great places to work initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the development and implementation of programs and practices that ensure the successful achievement of these objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and collaborating with various functional groups to deliver results
  • Driving results and managing change through successful leadership and team development
  • Communicating effectively through organizational communication plans and setting expectations for information exchange
  • Managing capital and expense dollars for the plant and driving Economic Value Added (EVA)
  • Championing Herman Miller Performance System (HMPS) and Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, engineering, or a related field
  • 8-10 years of successful management experience, with 4 years at a senior level leading salaried employees
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strategic direction and lead the development and implementation of objectives, plans, and initiatives
  • Ability to successfully initiate and lead change initiatives in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in ISO quality systems fundamentals and Lean Manufacturing principles

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
