Retail Store Supervisor Lead

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Supervisor Lead to join our team at Virk Enterprises Ltd. as a key member of our retail operation.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training or arranging for training of staff, authorizing payments by cheque, and establishing work schedules. This role involves selling merchandise, resolving issues that may arise, organizing and maintaining inventory, and supervising and co-ordinating activities of workers.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead a team of 5-10 people in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Assign sales workers to duties, ensuring optimal store performance and customer satisfaction.
- Hire and train or arrange for the training of staff to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Autorize payments by cheque and ensure accurate financial management.
- Establish work schedules to meet business needs and employee requirements.
- Sell merchandise to customers, meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other operational challenges.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities effectively.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience an asset, but not required.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
This role is based in a rural area, working in a retail business with a gas bar. The ideal candidate will be able to handle heavy loads, work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, and prioritize tasks effectively.
