Store Operations Manager

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Store Operations Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities- Store Management: The Store Operations Manager will be accountable for opening and closing the store, including arming and disarming store alarms.
- Cash Handling: They will be responsible for counting and balancing tills and float at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Safety Audits: The Store Operations Manager will conduct daily safe audits to ensure a safe working environment.
- Cash Register Operations: They will operate the cash register and POS system, administering Supervisor POS functions as required.
- Inventory Management: The Store Operations Manager will restock store shelves, barrels, tubs, pails, and displays.
- Order Fulfillment: They will facilitate and assist with placing Warehouse and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) orders.
- Receiving and Stocking: The Store Operations Manager will receive and stock Warehouse and DSD orders, including tracking the expiry dates of received items.
- Deposit Preparation: They will prepare and deliver the daily deposit to the nearest TD Bank.
- Paperwork Submission: The Store Operations Manager will submit daily and weekly paperwork to Corporate Office.
- Staff Coaching: The Store Operations Manager will coach and motivate staff to perform their duties to the best of their abilities.
- Leadership: They will lead staff and ensure that Bulk Barn standards are upheld.
- Break Scheduling: The Store Operations Manager will assign staff break times in compliance with Company Policy.
- Task Delegation: They will delegate tasks amongst employees, as required.
- Follow-up: The Store Operations Manager will follow-up with employees to ensure tasks are being executed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Customer Service: The Store Operations Manager will assist customers in a manner that exceeds customer expectations.
- Cleanliness: They will ensure the store is kept clean at all times by adhering to and executing cleaning schedules.
- Workplace Wellness: The Store Operations Manager will promote and work to maintain workplace wellness, health and safety through active compliance with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Education: A high school education or equivalent is required.
- Experience: 1-3 years' experience working in a retail environment is preferred.
- Skills: Intermediate communication skills, ability to work under pressure, multitask and manage time effectively.
- Availability: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
